Child Development Programme

In partnership with Compassion International, a Christian charity, the Diocese undertakes fifteen child development projects which altogether assist 3,476 children.

These projects aim to transform children into fulfilled, fruitful and responsible Christian adults.  Child development focuses on the following five areas:

  • Spiritual;
  • Physical;
  • Social;
  • Academic; and
  • Skills development.

The projects support the children in schools up to the age of 18 when they are supposed to have finished Higher School Certificate.  A total of 46 full-time staff and over a hundred others are employed on these projects.
