Guidance

The church needs guidance from the clergy to choose between different ways of thinking, behaving morally and spiritual understanding of different aspects of life.

Healing

The anointing of the sick is one of the rites which a priest is supposed to perform to attain a healthy church, physically, spiritually and socially.

Sustainance

The church needs to help in carrying burdens and giving support in times of grief, sorrow, sickness, fear and loneliness.  Those in need are sustained, encouraged and strengthened.

The Clergyman wishes the people to know:

• Traditions and customs of the church;
• Historical background of the church, especially where he/she comes from;
• Enculturation;
• Christianity versus African Traditional Religion(s); and
• Christian versus socio economic and political crises, and so forth.
